Hailing from Texas & Oklahoma, Brady and Katie's love for Colorado started long before they called it home. Brady grew up making family ski trips to Crested Butte, while Katie spent summers rafting and hiking around Salida. It wasn't until they both found themselves working as civilians for the US Military in Garmisch, Germany, that they finally found each other. After nearly six years abroad — and a wedding in Germany — they made it official and moved to Colorado in 2015. Since then, they've put down deep roots here — including welcoming their son and starting a family they're proud to be raising in this community.

Since settling here, Brady and Katie have thrown themselves into the community they always dreamed of joining. You'll find them volunteering at the local radio station — and representing them on the town league softball field — supporting local film festivals, and Katie serves as an EMT volunteer. When they're not working, they're out on the mountain skiing, hiking, biking, or planning their next adventure.

After several years in the window coverings industry, Brady founded Deer Creek Blinds in 2021 because he believed Gunnison County was ready for a more personal, hands-on approach to window coverings. He genuinely enjoys the process of finding the right product for the right person at the right price point — and it shows in every consultation he does. Brady takes the time to listen, keeps you informed from start to finish, and won't consider the job done until you're completely satisfied.
